Yikes! I was just making a frame for some art work out of a black-painted lath being nailed onto a stretched canvas, when the old lath did not saw perfectly, I did not have enough lathing for another piece, and I had to deliver the artwork to the gallery in a few hours. I put it together the best I could, putting the broken piece towards the back, and filling in the splinter with more black paint, which dried quickly, luckily. Also, the four sides did not fit together perfectly, which looked kinda tacky, but it all sort of went with the art, which was a collaged teacup made out of tea tags I's collected for a decade or two. Linda PS I 'd sewed the teacup part onto the white stretched canvas background, figuring if anyone wanted to buy it, they could ask a better framer than me to put it into a better frame. As it turns out, my son Greg had been a professional framer "to the stars", but he did not have time to make me someting better, plus the sewing on part was his idea. As it really was, I kinda liked the tacky frame better than any I'd seen in a framing store.
