Hi, I'm back and will have your new word soon.  Meanwhile, re: "gyre": I recall in a Modern Poetry class in college  (Mount Holyoke, Class of '66) bringing up the subject of Heisenberg's Principle as compared to Yeats' Gyre Theory. The prof was intrigued, but the English majors were apalled.  Silly me, I wanted to be both a biochemist and a poet.  Linda  PS My brother was both a woodworker and a writer.  And my husband is both an "educated" person and a practical mechanic.
