The winner (and whaling)

I believe that the act of removing flesh from bone or blubber  from whales is called flensing. Eskimos used sharpened rocks, and meat cutters use blades of various shapes and sizes.  Been to the Mystic Seaport museum, where a docent will explain it all, and lately in an accent and togs.   Linda
