Not immemorial at all!  It's memorialized right here on my hard drive as
October of 1997, when Jed Hartman thought it up (and it was known for a
while after that as "scoring a la Jed").  The word was 'cypripareunia'. 
Prior to that, everyone got just one vote, as I believe is customary in
this sort of game.  But we're way cooler than that Balderdash rabble.
