Well, well, well.  Let's see.  How about:

The ballot will use the usual 1- and 2-point votes, but comments, verse, 
"awards", etc. are also solicited.  They will be compiled with the tally 
for all to see, and I may use them to break ties.  Optimizing your def to 
attract them could therefore pay handsomely.
