Wow, I haven't won in forever.  Exciting!

An antipyretic, for whoever was asking, is a drug that brings down fever.  As someone pointed out, elm bark contains salicylic acid (the basis of aspirin), which was my inspiration.  The meranti really is a tree that grows in Bali and is used in boat building (the wood, not the bark); I have no knowledge of the traditional Balinese boat-building industry, if there is one.

New word attempt 1: anybody know quinsy?
