[Fictionary] What is this called?

Dear Fictioneers,

As every schoochild knows, ``dramatic irony'' happens when the audience 
knows something which the characters don't, and knows that the characters 
don't know it.  Is there a name for the reverse situation, where the 
characters are behaving inexplicably in a way that rubs the audience's 
nose in its incomprehension?
