Several people knew (or came very close to) one or the other of my
first two words:

garner - n. - A granary; a building or place where grain is stored for
preservation. - v.t. - To store in a granary.
Webster's 1828 Dictionary
http://1828.mshaffer.com/d/word/garner

OAST - n. - a kiln, particularly one used for drying hops; the word
usually appears in the term "oast-house," a building containing
several of such kilns. "Oast" is also sometimes used of a kiln for
drying tobacco.
1911 edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica

I got them from the first chapter of _The Return of the King_, where
Gandalf rides through the fields of Pelennor, surrounding the city of
Gondor.

So let's try another word ... and another chance to demonstrate my egotism :-D
