Pierre recognized the root of "flabelate" as having something to do with 
a fan, and in fact it means "fan-shaped" in leaf morphology, as in the 
maiden-hair herb.  (There is a related word "flabellate" with basically 
the same definition used in both botany and zoology.)

So, the next try is to have you define the two related words:

If you know either of them, let me know and we'll move on to something 
else, and if not, then send me related definitions for both.
