I also need to mention the other connection here -- when the word 
recently was GOOLAYALIBEE (or however it was spelled), I consulted after 
the round with a friend of mine (Claire Bowern) who is a scholar of 
Australian aboriginal languages.  I know her through orienteering -- her 
husband is one of the absolute best in North America.  And it turns out 
that Elliott is an acquaintance of Claire.

I think there are only about 250 people in the world, when you come 
right down to it.
