Actually, it goes deeper than that:

Ranjit got 6 points -- correct.
Jimmosk got 2 points, not 3 (addition error).
Eric got 4 points -- correct.
The real def got 4 points, not 3 (Ellen's vote counted incorrectly).
Nick got 3 points -- correct.
Jean-Joseph got 6 points, not 4 (forgot to count points for correct guess)
Linda got 0 points -- correct.
Hutch got 0 points -- correct.
David got 4 points -- correct.
Pierre got 0 points -- correct.
and Ellen gets 2 points for guessing correctly, though she didn't submit 
a definition.

So that means that I'm tied with Ranjit for first, but I'll defer to 
him, because I suspect that my correct guess was influenced by the three 
years of Spanish that I took in high school back in the 1970s.
