Eric, I love fictionary and A Word A Day, but sometimes a simple word is best. I have counters, cupboards, shelves, and bureaus, be they ever so crowded and undisplayworthy.  My husband David and I belong to "The Society that puts one thing on top of another thing." (Pythons)  Plus we all (incl. 3 grown sons) are collectors who love to make things and hate to throw things away.
