There used to be a tradition of yurt-related defs in the 1990's.  I think 
in culminated in Pierre's ERUKE round:

not only had a deliberate yurt/Pope-smoke def (can you spot which one?  I 
couldn't at the time), but turned out to have a second genuine meaning
