"eeephing"?!?!?!?!?!?!

That is about as weird as it gets. I was about to say that I'd never heard
of such a thing. Then I Googled it and found recordings of Jimmie Riddle. I
remember hearing him on Hee-Haw. Never knew what it was called back then;
indeed, I doubt I ever even thought that such a weird noise had a name at
all.

I work with people who BRAG of being hillbillies (and there's absolutely no
doubt that some of them are) and now live fairly near (~100 miles) where
Jimmie Riddle says that his uncle learned to "eeeph". I'll have to ask them
about it.
