Hi, all! After many years away from Fictionary, I re-found the mail folder to which I've been filtering posts, and happened to have the time and inclination to participate in a round. Not sure whether I'll manage to play regularly, but it was fun to stop in! And I enjoyed y'all's definitions and comments.

> yamen, v. To do a walking meditation in the midst of a crowd, esp. in a city. BY FRAN (9 points total)

I neglected to send comments along with my votes, but I wanted to say that I particularly liked all the the non-noun definitions, and I especially especially liked the verbs. But even though I liked it, this one didn't quite make my voting list, for various reasons.

> yamen, n. The entryway to a yurt, ger, or other round dwelling. BY LINDA (1 point total)

It was nice to see continuity of jokes after all these years. Yurts! They make me feel right at home.

> yamen, adj. Foreign or unusual. BY JED (6 points total)

I derived that loosely from the word "raman" as used in the Ender's Game books. (http://ansible.wikia.com/wiki/Hierarchy_of_Foreignness)

> yamen, v. To level a wall-hung frame or similar item by increments, through trial and error. BY RANJIT (4 points total)

Yay verb!

> 2 points from Fran "though I don't know why you would need a word for this

It's something I do all the time (on the rare occasions when I hang something on the wall); would be useful to me to have a word for it.
