And one of your grandsons won a national orienteering championship today 
(coming from behind to soundly trounce the field, with my girlfriend's 
son hanging on to snag second place).

Back in the day, there was typically a yurt or pope-smoke reference in 
every round.  Or maybe it wasn't really that often, but nostalgia makes 
it seem that way.
