[Fictionary] anniversary

When I think of Crafstbury, I think of rivers. Still frozen at this point. There is a sort of town beach, My son's family has a dug pond that is very tiny and muddy. I suspect they would not mind if we all camped out in their field--not sure if the bears would mind. They do have a shelter on many acres. David and I own a cottage a bit farther south [two hours closer to Boston, etc] in Holderness, NH, on Squam Lake. Actually, our kids own it too, so we would have to schedule it with them and their plans. Just got it last summer--needs work, but has beds for four guests, loft for 2-plus, two long couches, big kitchen and living areas, fireplace and woodstove, fire pit, enclosed porch, fridge, electric stove, steep stairs to get in, and we have to bring in drinking water. Let me know if interested in either place or both? Oh, Lake front, small dock, canoes, kayaks, old sailboat, workshops. Right across from Mt. Fahal and near Mt. Rattlesnake in Sandwich range. Our kids often bike around the Lake. Let us know, but first we have to improve the leach field--scheduled for May. Y'all come. LInda

Maybe we need a Fictionary camp out. :)

Obviously, near in Craftsbury. Is there a Sterling Pond or is that just my mislinking-of-things memory? Kir-------------------------------------------------------

Hey, You  guys finished well and did especially well in the bike part--I think northern VT still has snow.  We lost the last of ours last week. Congrats on a great race, I would imagine.  When I considered myself in shape, it was nothing like the athletes of today. I used to climb mountains and explore caves, maybe do a little canoeing, swimming, dancing, but not so fast or long.  My dad's generation of smokers used to --in an ad--walk a mile for a Camel!  Oh, wait, I played soccer with the URI men's foreign student pickup team for seven years--my 30'S-40'S--great fun, and often David and the boys would join me.  Now I'm retired and have no guilt about being lazy.  Well, just a little, but mostly regrets. LInda  PS What I really liked about hiking, etc was sitting around the campfire and singing.

And Adrian kicked the collective butts of myself and my brother on Sunday in a four-sport race in Craftsbury (him solo, Alan and I as a relay team).
