OK, I won that one, and the first try here will be for a description of
some kind of observance:

GROUNATION DAY

If you're familiar with it, let me know (and I won't be surprised),
otherwise think up a description of this day.

Meanwhile...

On the public radio show _Says You_ a few weeks ago, one of the
"bluffing round" words was "sastruga". (This is a quick game of
fictionary within a panel quiz show.)

and

A coworker of mine mentioned that his two-year-old daughter was having
some medical issues with her foot. He described it, and I offhandedly
said, "Maybe it's pernio". The next day, he came back with a report
from his visit to the rheumatologist. After the examination, the doctor
was thinking, and my friend asked, "Could it be pernio?", and the
surprised physician said, "That's exactly what it is!".
