I'd be happy to conduct the next round, but for my shame in the fact that I didn't vote in this round. Part of the reason why I didn't vote was because I looked at the definitions and saw that none of them were mine. I was therefore pretty surprised when I saw that I was tied for first place. I looked at the definition attributed to me, and not only did I not recognize it, it didn't even look like the kind of definition or wording I would have used, so I realized that there was a mistake. I was even more surprised when I checked my Sent folder and found that I actually had sent it in, on January 2. Nancy says that I was probably still drunk from New Year's, which seems unlikely since I haven't had a drink in the past quarter century or so. But I think that Jan 2 might be Hutch's birthday, so I'll defer the honors to him.
My definition (mouse factory leftovers) was inspired by Jim Mosowitz's

wonderful /afflatus/, which I still think about all the time nearly 20
years later:
afflatus - (n) loose change, pens, toupees, and other small items
found beneath the loop-the-loop on a roller coaster.
Since it was a semiripoff, I'll defer to Hutch and Jean-Joseph for the
next round, unless neither of you wants it.
The results are in and... we have a three-way tie in the points total!
I'm not sure if we have a metric for tie breaking between receiving
the most points or assigning the most points to the real definition.
One of Jean-Joseph, Hutch, or Ranjit should take it away.
