sonica, n. In the game of basset, a card that has an immediate effect on
the game.
[Pierre, 2002-11-25]

murnival, n. In the game of gleek, four cards of the same value, as four

Seems like many obscure game/sport definitions are true. Or more
accurately, there have been more real game/sport definitions than there
have been winning fake ones. Which might just mean that everybody is
skeptical of them. Only one of the following five definitions is fake
(and it was a winner). Can you remember which one?

cottabus, n. An ancient Greek game, which consisted in throwing wine
from cups, without spilling, into metal basins.

manille. n. [Fr. manille, from Sp. manilla, a game of cards, manille,
from mano; L. manus, hand] In card playing, the card second in rank in
the games omber and quadrille.

vigoro - n. - A team ball game combining elements of cricket and baseball.

pingo - n. - 1) Milton Bradley's 1947 game of duck hunting. 2) to shoot
five ducks with five shots.

dormie - adj. (Golf) - In match play, ahead by as many holes as there
are holes remaining to be played.
