Trying to connect to port 25 of mail.plover.com, I get a connection, but not a 
mail server's greeting. That's pretty odd, as normally port 25 is handled by 
the mail server program, not by xinetd. The previous time we had problems 
getting to plover, it was a DNS problem; that's not it now.

I can run the list, if you like. I have two Linux boxes up and can run the 
list as a manually maintained list on chausie until I get Mailman up on it.

Sandy Crowley was lurking, and may have voted for something, but I don't know 
how to reach her, or if she still lives here.
