Subject: [Fictionary] Morphew it is
No one has said they know morphew, and I've gotten a couple of great definitions already, so let's go with "morphew". Please try to have your definitions to me by end-of-day Monday, September 29.
Thanks!
By the way, some of the proposed definitions I got for the last attempted word:
from Hutch:
oxgang - n - (Ger. "horned traveler") a mythical demon or monster of
southwestern Germany and northeastern France, known for abandoning its
victims far from home.
from Linda:
Oxgang, n. A dye made from oak galls that resembles the color of ox blood. It is still used in some leather dyes, as for shoes.
and the real definition:
Oxgang, n, Archaic, The area of land that could be ploughed by an ox in a day; one eighth of a carucate.
