Haven't been at my email for few days. I think I will remember these words Realgar and Orpiment, when looking for a strong name for any roosters I may own in the next few years. Must build a new pen to keep out predators, alas, as the last batch of hens and eggs was eventually demolished by dogs, raccoons, and foxes despite many patches to fencing. Linda
PS Other rooster names were Brutus, Charlesmagne, Tamerlane, and Checkerdoodle, to name a few.

This game is so weird. Sometimes I submit what I think is an excellent definition, and it gets no response. Other times (like for "wind trolley"), I just toss out a throwaway definition, Hutch submits basically the same thing, an between us we get the lion's share of the points, including his voting for mine(!).

Anyway...

Here are two closely related words:

realgar
orpiment

If anyone is familiar with either of these, let me know. If not, then please submit definitions for both. I'll come up with a deadline later, provided they pass the obscurity test.

Jean-Joseph
